Artist Bio

Artist, Clint Atkinson maintains studios in Bellingham, Washington and Austin, Texas, U.S.A.

Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, his early years were in Guatemala, returning with his family to grow up in Houston and Corpus Christi, Texas.
​
After serving five years as a Photographer's Mate in the US Navy, he moved to British Columbia, Canada , where he earned his BFA with honors from the University of Victoria, British Columbia, and his MFA from Concordia University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
 
In between degrees he attended the Winter Session residency at the Banff Center for the Arts, Banff, Alberta.

Clint's paintings and drawings are in the collections of the Canada Council Art Bank, Ottawa, Ontario, and the Surrey Art Gallery, British Columbia, Canada, as well as private collections in the United States.
​
His work has been shown in group and solo exhibitions in Canada and the United States, as well as a group presentation of contemporary drawing at the Canadian Cultural Centre, Paris, France.
